Price increases continue in the Macedonian industry

According to data released by the State Statistical Entity, the total industrial producer selling prices experienced a 0.6% increase in April 2026 when compared to the preceding month. Analyzing the performance across various operational segments, the total selling prices showed varied trends within the sector. Specifically, the Production sector recorded a 0.7% rise, while the Electricity, Gas, Steam, and Air Conditioning Supply sector saw a more substantial increase of 0.8%.

Conversely, the Mining and Quarrying sector registered a decline of 2.5%, and the Water Supply, Wastewater Disposal, and Environmental Sanitation activities sector remained unchanged month-over-month. When comparing April 2026 to the corresponding period in the previous year, different sectors exhibited distinct growth patterns. In the Mining and Quarrying sector, for instance, the total industrial producer selling prices increased by 1% year-over-year.
