Protests occurred before parliament against the exhibition on war, veterans of the UÇK (United Combat Organization) deem it a deception and inaccurate.

A demonstration is scheduled for today at 13:00 before the Kosovo Parliament by the Organization of UÇK War Veterans. This action is in response to the “Massacres in Kosovo 1998-1999” exhibition, which the veterans perceive as a misrepresentation of historical events. They believe the exhibition is fundamentally flawed and misleading, alleging an effort to downplay the severity of Serbian actions during the Kosovo war.

The veterans assert that the exhibition’s content undermines historical accuracy and is deeply disrespectful to the memory of those who perished and those who bravely fought for freedom. Gazedmend Syla, representing OVL-UÇK, highlighted the exhibition’s reliance on unsubstantiated rumors and pointed out that it was financed using public funds. He described it as a repetitive revisiting of war history and a disregard for the sacrifices made by those who lost their lives in the war.

OVL-UÇK is organizing this protest as a direct reaction to the exhibition’s unveiling. The veterans are demanding a truthful account of the past and a recognition of the contributions of those who gave their lives during the conflict.
