Albi Qamili attributed the current situation regarding the Macedonian judicial exam to decisions made by the long-standing BDI government. In an appearance on TVM2’s Zoom program on August 8, 2026, Qamili, the Deputy Mayor of Tetovo and representative of VLEN, stated that the issue stemmed from the BDI’s 22-year-held power. During the discussion, Qamili questioned BDI representative Ridvan Ibrahimi about why Prime Minister Talat Xhaferi, whose son also took the exam in Macedonian, hadn’t addressed the matter.
Qamili clarified that the Law on the Use of Languages anticipates the harmonization of other laws, a process the BDI did not undertake. He argued that the present challenges are a consequence of the BDI’s earlier governance. Qamili emphasized that the BDI’s earlier decisions created the current circumstances.
