Kercova Man Arrested Following Weapons Seizure
Kercova, Albania – On April 16, 2026, at approximately 4:15 PM, officers from the Kercova external criminal affairs office apprehended G.S., a 66-year-old resident of Kercova, in the village of Dushogubicë e Epërme, within the Kercova region. The arrest was made under suspicion of a violation outlined in Article 396 of the Penal Code. Following a search warrant issued by the Basic Court of Kercova, a raid was conducted at Mr.
S.’s residence and connected properties within the village. During the operation, law enforcement recovered a number of firearms and accompanying ammunition. The seized items included a Mauser caliber 7.9 mm rifle, a Zastava caliber M75 12 mm shotgun, and a Zastava caliber M57 7.62 mm pistol.
Authorities also discovered a quantity of cartridges, totaling 23 rounds. The investigation is ongoing.
