Ramadani: The prosecution must investigate the MPJ; the institution itself has admitted to violations

Burim Ramadani, an official representing the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), issued a statement following the release of the General Auditor’s report concerning the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora. Ramadani called for the immediate intervention of the Prosecutor’s Office and relevant investigative bodies to review the findings documented in the report, specifically those pertaining to the 2025 period. According to Ramadani, the audit report highlighted significant concerns, flagging what the AAK described as a “red alarm” regarding multiple instances of legal violations, procedural irregularities, and the mismanagement of public assets within the ministry.

These issues were noted during the tenure of Donika Gërvalla, who was in charge during the audit period under review. In a public statement, Ramadani emphasized that the current Minister, Glauk Konjufca, has formally acknowledged the Auditor’s findings and recommendations. The confirmation came via an official letter, indicating that the minister did not raise any objections to the content presented in the comprehensive report.

The AAK’s call centers on ensuring that the serious allegations of financial and procedural violations detailed in the audit are thoroughly investigated by appropriate legal authorities. The focus remains on establishing accountability for the governance practices identified by the General Auditor’s office.
