Rrustemi Accuses Abdixhiku of Seeking Political Instability in Kosovo
Former Member of Parliament Adnan Rrustemi has leveled serious accusations against Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) leader Lumir Abdixhiku, alleging a deliberate effort to prevent the election of a president and trigger extraordinary parliamentary elections. During an appearance on Debat Plus, Rrustemi stated that Abdixhiku’s motivations were “fundamental” regarding the lack of a president. Rrustemi asserted that Abdixhiku viewed the non-election of a president, specifically including Vjosa Osmani, as crucial to his own political standing.
According to Rrustemi, Abdixhiku’s concern was that the country would proceed to extraordinary elections. “Mr. Abdixhiku has had it existential that the president is not elected, that the country goes to elections,” Rrustemi explained.
He further suggested that Abdixhiku’s actions were driven by a desire to maintain his position within the political landscape. The accusations come amidst ongoing debate surrounding the process of electing a president in Kosovo. Further investigation into the claims made by rrustemi regarding abdixhiku is ongoing.
