Albanian National Arrested in Russia Following International Warrant

Moscow, Russia – Russian authorities apprehended an Albanian citizen, Kristian Dreshaj, today following a targeted international search. The Directorate of Police confirmed the arrest, stating it resulted from a collaboration between NCB Interpol Podgorica and NCB Interpol Moscow. Dreshaj, a former member of the Montenegrin criminal group “Vasa Uliça” – comprised of Radoje Zvicer and Slobodan Kashçelan – is currently in custody.

According to police reports, the arrest followed an extensive investigation and the direct exchange of information between Interpol offices. A red international arrest warrant issued by Interpol Podgorica led to Dreshaj’s location and subsequent detention. The warrant stemmed from ongoing criminal proceedings in Montenegro, where Dreshaj is suspected of involvement in the creation and operation of a criminal organization, as well as the production of illicit goods.
