“Sanctions with a long radius of action”: Zelensky warns of new operations against Russia

Zelensky Approves New Operations Targeting Russian Infrastructure

Kyiv – President Volodymyr Zelensky has announced the approval of new operations designed to escalate pressure on Russia and encourage a diplomatic resolution to the ongoing conflict. Speaking in a video address reported by Telegrafi, Zelensky stated, “Today, I also approved our new operations – if Russia does not want diplomacy, diplomacy must be imposed upon it.”

The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense is providing support for these initiatives, according to the President. Zelensky specified that the objectives of these “measures with a long-term impact” include targeting the Russian oil industry, military logistics, and arms production.

He indicated that these actions represent a “new phase” in Ukraine’s strategy. A video purportedly showing a Ukrainian attack 1500 kilometers into Russian territory was also released. Zelensky emphasized the intent is to compel Russia to negotiate.

The President’s announcement reflects a continued shift in Ukraine’s approach to the conflict, prioritizing actions aimed at disrupting Russian capabilities and forcing a diplomatic outcome. The new operations are intended to significantly increase the pressure on Moscow.
