According to a report transmitted by the BBC, Guterres shared his concerns about the state of civil society. Furthermore, Stéphane Dujarric, the spokesperson for the U.S.
Presidency, relayed comments made by President Donald Trump. Trump stated that the United States “are not going to leave the country” and characterized Iran as a threat. Dujarric clarified that Guterres’ role involves assessing the perspectives of civil society, as well as the views of the President regarding civil society and the President himself.
