Kryetarja e Kuvendit të Kosovës, Albulena Haxhiu, distributed a letter from the Speaker of the Special Chambers in The Hague, Ekaterina Trendafilova, to Kosovar parliamentarians. The letter confirms the acceptance of Resolution No. 10-R-001, passed by the Kosovar Parliament on February 12, 2026.
Trendafilova’s letter emphasizes that the Special Chambers operate in accordance with the legal framework established by the Kosovar Parliament. This framework incorporates international standards of judicial fairness and guarantees strong judicial independence. She added that all individuals appearing before the Special Chambers – whether suspects, accused, or victims – can benefit from the legal mechanisms outlined within this legal framework.
This includes the opportunity to address issues within the chambers.
