Stoilkoviq, Bexheti: You grieve because you have lost the parallel state in Macedonia.

Deputy Prime Minister Accuses BDI of Establishing Parallel System Targeting Albanians

Skopje – Deputy Prime Minister Ivan Stojkoviq leveled accusations against the Besa BDI party today, alleging the creation of a parallel system focused on the needs of all Albanians within North Macedonia. Stojkoviq stated that initiatives previously undertaken specifically for the Albanian community are now being extended to encompass the entire population of Albanians in the country. During a public statement, Stojkoviq referenced prior claims regarding targeted work for Albanians and asserted that the BDI had effectively established a “parallel state headquarters” in North Macedonia where decisions were made.

He indicated that the public can review the outcomes of these projects to verify their impact. Blerim Bexheti, a Member of Parliament representing BDI, refuted Stojkoviq’s claims, asserting that the party had not lost any such headquarters. Bexheti criticized Stojkoviq’s focus on the issue, arguing that the government was actively promoting an “anti-narrative.” The dispute centers on the provision of services and infrastructure to the country’s Albanian population, with accusations of preferential treatment being central to the debate.

The statement comes from Telegrafi and concerns North Macedonian politics.
