Tahiri says Kurti is “contradictory” regarding the president: Complete drama and mockery.

Tahiri Accuses Kurti of Contradictory Stances on Presidential Appointment

Prishtina – Arian Tahiri, leader of the PDK parliamentary group, has criticized Prime Minister Albin Kurti’s approach to the ongoing process of appointing a president, describing his positions as “contradictory” and lacking consistency. The criticism centers around Kurti’s shifting stances regarding cooperation with the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK). Tahiri cited previous statements where Kurti had maintained a refusal of engagement with the LDK contingent on a specific number of parliamentary deputies.

He highlighted a pattern of changing positions, recalling instances where the threshold for cooperation was initially set at 81/2 deputies with the LDK. “It’s a cycle of his dramas,” Tahiri stated. He pointed to a progression of statements, noting that the previously established 81/2 deputy requirement was subsequently raised to 86/7.

This shift, according to Tahiri, represents a fundamental contradiction between Kurti’s earlier declarations and his current proposals. The PDK leader’s comments come amid continued negotiations surrounding the presidential appointment, with the future role of the LDK within the governing coalition remaining a key point of discussion. Further details regarding Kurti’s current strategy are expected to be released in the coming days.
