Nineteen Individuals Charged in Botox and Filler Trafficking Investigation
The State Police and Prosecutor’s Office have concluded their operation targeting illicit sales of Botox and fillers, resulting in the arrest of 19 individuals. Those apprehended have been formally transferred to the Criminal Court for further proceedings. As of today, a significant number of suspects have been formally handed over to the court.
Individuals subject to proposed preventive measures are currently undergoing questioning by a procedural judge. Of the 19 arrested, ten have been placed under preventive measures, while nine have been ordered into pre-trial detention by the Criminal Court. The State Prosecutor’s Office confirmed the arrest of 14 individuals, indicating the dismantling of organized criminal groups specializing in the illegal distribution of drugs and medical devices, specifically Botox and fillers.
Charges have been filed against all 19 suspects, alongside six companies implicated in the operation. During the investigation, authorities seized a substantial quantity of illegally obtained Botox and fillers. The court will now proceed with the legal process, determining the appropriate measures for each defendant.
