The government is being asked for greater transparency regarding Kosovo’s integration process into the EU.

The European Integration Parliamentary Commission emphasized the need for increased openness from the government of Kosovo on Wednesday, as reported by KosovaPress. Commission Chair, LDK MP Hykmete Bajrami, addressed the review of the committee’s work plan, highlighting the importance of a presentation by Kosovo’s chief negotiator for integration into the European Union, Jeton Zulfaj. Bajrami asserted that Zulfaj should appear before the committee this month to deliver his report.

Furthermore, she advocated for the inclusion of perspectives from the ambassadors stationed in Pristina. The commission believes this would significantly contribute to understanding Kosovo’s journey toward integration into the European Union. She proposed scheduling the ambassadors’ invitation for May, contingent upon resolving the current presidential matter.

Bajrami explained that the European Union’s priority is currently institutional stability within Kosovo. This focus underscores the ongoing efforts to ensure a smooth and transparent process of integration for Kosovo into the European Union.
