Central Labor Inspectorate Conducts Extensive Safety Inspections Across Kosovo

The Central Labor Inspectorate, acting under the direction of Minister of Labor Arban Hoti and in accordance with its legal authority, has initiated an extraordinary inspection campaign targeting high-risk sectors across the Republic of Kosovo. The initiative, part of a broader effort to assess workplace safety and health standards, involved a comprehensive series of inspections. Over a 48-hour period, the inspectorate carried out a total of 72 inspections across multiple municipalities, including Pristina, Fushe Kosove, Ferizaj, Gjilan, and Mitrovi.

During these inspections, 34 instances resulted in the issuance of work stoppage orders, while only two received work permits. Furthermore, 22 observations were documented regarding potential safety concerns. A total of 16 subjects were found to be in compliance with existing labor regulations.

The purpose of these inspections is to evaluate and enforce safety protocols within the territory. The Central Labor Inspectorate continues its work to ensure a safe and healthy working environment for all laborers in Kosovo.
