The “Kosovo Mitrovica” graffiti was written in the north; four people are being questioned by the police.

Four individuals were taken to the police station in northern Mitrovica following allegations of attempting to write graffiti on a mural located in the city center. After questioning, the individuals were subsequently released. The details were confirmed to Telegrafi by Veton Elshani, the Deputy Director of the Kosovo Police in the North.

According to Elshani, the group was detained because they had inscribed several phrases onto a mural on a building situated near the Lazarica church. Among the inscriptions mentioned were “Kosovar Mitrovica,” “Millan,” “Luka,” and “Petar Pavle.” Elshani noted that one of the individuals was issued a fine for vandalism after writing the inscription “Kosovar Mitrovica.”

The Deputy Director stated that the group was in the process of creating a mural when they were brought to the police station. He confirmed that a ticket was issued to one of the participants.

This incident highlights the local police’s enforcement actions regarding public property in Mitrovica. The police confirmed their procedures were followed during the handling of the vandalism charges related to the mural in Kosovo.
