Central Labor Inspectorate Reports Findings from Extensive Inspection Action

The Central Labor Inspectorate has released a 48-hour report detailing the results of an extraordinary inspection action conducted throughout the Republic of Kosovo, as directed by the Minister of the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare. The action, focused primarily on the construction sector, aimed to ensure compliance with current legislation. Carried out on Friday, the inspection involved 31 initial inspections and 44 subsequent re-inspections.

The Central Labor Inspectorate identified numerous instances of non-compliance, leading to both punitive and preventative measures against affected entities. According to the report, a total of 13 work stoppage orders were issued, while permission was granted in 12 separate cases. The inspectorate’s action underscores ongoing efforts to maintain standards within high-risk sectors.

This comprehensive inspection was a key component of a broader strategy to strengthen labor regulations and promote safe working conditions across Kosovo. The findings will be used to inform future enforcement activities and ensure adherence to relevant legislation.
