Albanian Officer Pays Tribute to Former Kosovo Minister Madevci

On the Day of Heroes of the Municipality of Pristina, Adem Shehu, an officer from Albania and a former commander of Brigade 153, delivered a farewell speech honoring Minister Ejup Madevci. The speech focused on Madevci’s contributions during the conflict. Shehu characterized Madevci as a fellow combatant, highlighting their shared experience within the generation that responded to the situation in Kosovo.

He stated that Madevci, along with other individuals, “left the luxury of the West and called to Kosovo with his enemies.” According to Shehu, those involved were positioned in more advantageous locations, including Switzerland, Germany, and Belgium. “It was the spirit that forced them to come and contribute to Kosovo,” Shehu declared. He emphasized the commitment of those who answered the call to action.

Following his involvement in the war, Shehu noted that Madevci pursued further professional development, completing two academies. Shehu considered this continued education a significant advancement for the institution. The speech was delivered as part of the annual commemoration of heroes within the Pristina municipality.
