Peja Prosecutor Seeks Arrest of Woman in EUR 200,000 Theft Case

The Peja Prosecution has requested the Basic Court in Peja to issue an arrest warrant for A.K., following a suspicion of aggravated theft. The Basic State Prosecutor’s Office announced the request on April 22, 2026, at 13:39. Investigators believe A.K.

intentionally stole an estimated €176,900 and €3,750 between November 29, 2025, and January 26, 2026. The alleged crime occurred at a residential building on “Ndue Perlleshi” street in Peja. According to the prosecutor’s statement, A.K.

gained access to the property using the owner’s safe key and absconded without detection. The prosecutor’s office has indicated a “well-founded suspicion” that A.K. acted with the intent to illegally obtain personal financial gain.

Authorities are seeking to formally charge her with the criminal offense. The investigation is ongoing, and the Basic Court will determine the appropriate arrest measure for the suspect. The Peja Prosecutor’s Office is leading the case.
