The Protectorate recently published a report compiled by a British organization that corroborated those concerns.

However, the Specialist Chambers clarified their position, stating they are unaware of the report’s current status. “According to the Constitution of Kosovo, the Office of the Specialist Chambers’ Prosecutor possesses the mandated authority for these proceedings,” a spokesperson explained. “It remains unclear what the status is of the British report.”

The Specialist Chambers’ assertion underscores the established legal framework governing the trials.

The Office of the Prosecutor is responsible for investigating and prosecuting individuals accused of serious crimes within the Chambers.
