The survivor of the Dubrava Massacre: Gëzull Gashi’s aim is to distort history.

The exhibition by Shkelzen Gashi, showcased in Pristina and detailing the Dubrava massacre and other incidents in Kosovo, has generated considerable controversy due to reported inaccuracies within the presented information. Sadik Zeqiri, a survivor of the Dubrava massacre, voiced strong concerns regarding the artist’s intentions. He asserted that Shkelzen Gashi’s primary aim is to deliberately distort historical accounts.

“If there is no response, we must address the individual responsible for presenting these facts,” Zeqiri stated. “However, if someone reacts solely to deflect blame, such as shifting responsibility onto Belgrade through figures like Mrs. Kandiq, who has unfortunately made an error originating from her office in Pristina, it is unacceptable.”

The Directorate for… continues to investigate the matter, seeking clarification on the exhibited data surrounding the Dubrava massacre.

Zeqiri emphasized the importance of acknowledging the source of the inaccuracies and preventing further attempts to misrepresent the events. He believes a genuine response is crucial to ensuring a truthful understanding of this tragic episode.
