Kyiv – The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense has released video evidence of an unidentified aerial phenomenon observed by Ukrainian military forces in May 2025. Serhiy “Flash” Beskrestnov, a senior technology and drone warfare advisor within the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, shared the evidence, which includes a one-minute black and white infrared video recording.
The video depicts a rounded object exhibiting a visible heat source, accompanied by six sharp protrusions extending from a spherical main body. A separate heat source, resembling a flare, was observed in the background. Mr.
Beskrestnov stated that the Ukrainian military was aware of the incident at the time it occurred. The video’s release comes as part of an ongoing effort to document advanced technologies and potential threats faced by the Ukrainian armed forces. The observation was made by military personnel utilizing drone technology.
