The UÇK’s OVL is requesting the withdrawal of support for the publication “Massacres in Kosovo 1998–1999”.

The Organization of War Veterans of the UÇK (OVL-UÇK) has issued a public statement, sending a letter to numerous international entities. The ovl is requesting that these organizations remove any support they’ve provided for the book “Massacres in Kosovo 1998–1999” authored by Shkëlzen Gashi. The letter was directed to a wide range of groups, including the Community Development Fund (CDF), the Embassy of Sweden in Kosovo, the Rockefeller Brothers Fund (RBF), the Institute of International Education (IIE), the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs of Switzerland (FDFA), the Embassy of Switzerland in Kosovo, Cultural Heritage without Borders (CHwB), and the Kosovo Foundation for Open Society (KFOS) / Open Society Foundations.

OVL-UÇK voiced significant worries about the book’s trustworthiness and the overall accuracy of its presentation concerning events in kosovo. Specifically, the organization expressed serious concerns regarding the credibility and integrity of this publication. The ovl believes the book’s portrayal is problematic and warrants a reconsideration of any prior support.
