Two Doctors Arrested in Vushtri on Bribery Suspicions
Vushtri – Two hospital employees, identified as doctors E.S. and V.R., have been arrested in Vushtri on Wednesday following suspicions of accepting a bribe. The Basic Prosecution in Mitrovica initiated the arrest under suspicion of committing the criminal offense of “Accepting a bribe.”
According to information obtained by KosovaPress from a source familiar with the investigation, the two doctors have a prior history of indictments related to this crime.
Authorities suspect they received illicit funds in exchange for medical services, with investigations indicating at least eight instances of this alleged activity. The arrests occurred at the Vushtri hospital with the presence of a prosecutor. Initial investigations suggest the individuals were attempting to solicit a bribe valued up to 300 euros.
