Ukrainian forces have gained control of 480 kilometers of territory within the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, according to Ukrainian military official Oleksandr Syrskyi. During a visit to the front lines, Syrskyi was informed that this expansion has occurred alongside continued advances by Russian troops. Syrskyi stated that Russian forces remain committed to their offensive plans and are actively reorganizing their forces and equipment.
He indicated that despite recent losses, the Russian military is proceeding with its spring offensive strategy.
