VLEN Leader Rejects Calls for Early Elections

Izet Mexhiti, a key figure within the VLEN coalition, has dismissed suggestions of early parliamentary elections. Speaking on “Kanal5’s” “Samo intervju” program, Mexhiti asserted that VLEN has established new standards and values within Albanian politics. He highlighted the coalition’s impact following two decades of operation, stating significant changes have been implemented within the Albanian political landscape.

Mexhiti emphasized a collaborative strategy, detailing the coalition’s formation through the unification of opposition forces and the overcoming of traditional political divisions. “The VLEN coalition convenes weekly to deliberate on our program and commitments, working collectively to achieve our objectives,” Mexhiti explained. Regarding ongoing speculation about potential early elections, Mexhiti stated that VLEN remains committed to its current course of action, without expressing any intention to pursue a change in the parliamentary schedule.

The coalition continues to focus on its established goals and collaborative approach within the Albanian political sphere.
