Tourist Viewpoints in Kamenica Damaged Following Vandalism
The Municipality of Kamenica has reported damage to newly installed tourist viewpoints just two weeks after their installation. According to the Directorate for Economic Development and Diaspora, the damage occurred through the painting of the areas, representing a violation of investments within the local tourism sector. The incident occurred only two weeks after the viewpoints were officially opened to the public.
The Directorate’s statement indicated that “irresponsible individuals have damaged them by painting.”
The municipality has issued a call for citizen cooperation, urging residents to report any suspicious activity to the appropriate authorities. “We invite citizens to be cooperative and, in case of doubt, to raise concerns with the relevant authorities,” a municipal spokesperson stated. Furthermore, the municipality emphasized the importance of preserving public investments.
