VLEN has issued a statement challenging the established narrative regarding the leadership succession within the Ministry of Justice, asserting that the series involving BDI and subsequent Ministers of Justice does not conclude with Blerim Bexheti, Adnan Jashari, and Valdet Xhaferi. Furthermore, VLEN drew attention to Bilen Saliji, noting that he is another prominent figure associated with BDI who previously held the portfolio of Minister of Justice. According to VLEN’s statement, Saliji subsequently withdrew from the field of jurisprudence within the Albanian language.
The party also characterized the public perception surrounding Saliji, claiming that his name is not linked to any reform that yielded public benefit, nor to any significant victory secured for the citizenry, including support for Albanian students. Instead, VLEN alleged that his tenure is associated with an alleged “handover” process. The statement positions itself as a corrective to the prevailing understanding of the Ministry’s leadership trajectory.
By raising these points, VLEN aims to redirect focus onto earlier figures within the party’s political history concerning judicial oversight. The emphasis remains on questioning the completeness and accuracy of the documented progression of ministerial roles within the justice sector.
