Scholes Dismisses Schmeichel’s Xhaka Recommendation

Schmeichel advocated for United to pursue Granit Xhaka, arguing that the midfielder would strengthen the Reds’ midfield options. However, Paul Scholes, then the club’s interim manager, immediately countered the suggestion.

Ultimately, United pursued other transfer targets, and Granit Xhaka remained at Arsenal.
