WhatsApp Launches Premium Subscription Service – WhatsApp Plus
Meta’s WhatsApp has officially launched a new subscription service, dubbed WhatsApp Plus, following initial reports in March. The platform is currently testing the service, with a monthly price of €2.49 set for European users. This new WhatsApp Plus subscription offers a range of premium features designed to enhance the user experience.
Subscribers gain access to an exclusive collection of premium stickers, expanding creative options within the messaging app. Furthermore, the service allows for customization of the WhatsApp interface, including the selection of one of eighteen available color themes. Users will also be able to personalize their WhatsApp icon, which will appear on both the device’s home screen and within the app list.
Functionality has also been expanded with the ability to pin up to twenty chats, a significant increase from the standard three available to non-subscribers. The introduction of WhatsApp Plus represents a new revenue stream for the messaging giant and provides users with enhanced customization options. The service is currently in a testing phase, and details may be subject to change.
This WhatsApp Plus subscription is available for a monthly fee.
