Kosovo Parties Release Candidate Lists Ahead of 2026 Elections
As the June 7, 2026 parliamentary elections approach, political parties within Kosovo are actively publishing their candidate lists for the upcoming assembly. The Democratic Party of Kosovo (DPK) has yet to formally release its complete roster, though several prominent names have been reported in media outlets. The Vetëvendosje Movement, the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), and the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) have all announced their finalized lists of candidates vying for seats in the Kosovo Assembly.
The Vetëvendosje Movement’s list includes a significant number of established figures, with Albin Kurti, Glauk Konjufca, Donika Gërvalla, Avdi Dehari, Albula Haxhiu, Hekuran Murati, Xhelal Sveçla, Mimoza Kusari-Lila, Hajrulla Çeku, and Shqipe Mehmeti-Selimi among the top ten. Similarly, the LDK’s initial list features Vjosa Osmani at the forefront. These published names represent the core contenders for representation within the Kosovo political landscape.
