Traffic Accidents Rise in Ferizaj Region During Weeklong Period
The Ferizaj Regional Police reported a significant increase in traffic accidents within its jurisdiction during the week of April 13 to 19, 2025. A total of 24 accidents were recorded across the region, encompassing the municipalities of Ferizaj, Kacanik, Shtime, Shtrepce, and Hani i Elezit. Of the reported accidents, 13 resulted in injuries, with 13 individuals sustaining injuries.
The remaining 11 accidents were limited to material damage. Authorities issued 1,717 fines for various traffic violations during this period. Furthermore, 21 drivers had their driving licenses revoked due to serious violations, triggering the implementation of a protective measure prohibiting vehicle operation.
The Ferizaj Regional Police stated that these figures represent an intensified period of activity. They will continue with increased patrols and enforcement measures to address traffic safety concerns within the region.
