A 25-year-old man was discovered without vital signs on Sunday morning within a residential property located in South Mitrovica. According to Avni Zahiti, the Kosovo Police spokesperson for the South Mitrovica region, the incident was confirmed by police sources. Zahiti reported that police units and a medical team were dispatched to the scene following initial information received by the police department around 08:20.
Upon arrival, the death of the 25-year-old male was officially confirmed at the location. Following established protocols, the body was subsequently transferred to the Institute of Forensic Medicine (IFM). This action was taken under the direct order of the prosecutor’s office, where the individual will undergo a comprehensive autopsy designed to establish the definitive cause of death.
The Kosovo Police have since launched a formal investigation to thoroughly ascertain the circumstances surrounding the discovery.
