350,000 euros on the wall, the Prosecutor’s Office: The father told us that the money might belong to Gjoko Ristov’s son

The Public Prosecution initiated proceedings by presenting evidence against former Appeals Judge Gjoko Ristov, who faces accusations related to money laundering and the concealment of assets. During the presentation, Iskra Haxhivasileva detailed the evidence, beginning with a comprehensive declaration of assets. A significant piece of evidence revealed during the proceedings was the discovery of 350,000 euros hidden within a special bunker constructed into the wall of the family residence.

The investigation into Judge Ristov was reportedly prompted by intelligence gathered through operational sources and formal denunciations. The inquiry gained traction following a high-profile incident involving a former State Attorney who was allegedly apprehended while attempting to bribe Judge Ristov. The stated objective of this attempted bribery was to secure Judge Ristov’s release from pre-trial detention, which had been sought by Judge Lupço Pecov, also known as “The Boy.”

Further developments in the case included an investigation visit on January 17 of this year, when the investigative team went to the property of Judge Ristov’s father, Zdravko.

The cumulative evidence presented by the prosecution focuses on financial irregularities surrounding Judge Ristov, particularly the hidden cache of euros found within the structure of the home. The proceedings aim to establish the extent of the alleged financial misconduct.
