LDK Obilic Group Declines Participation in Extraordinary Session
The Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) branch in Obilic announced it will not attend an extraordinary session of the Municipal Assembly, citing procedural and legal violations. The decision follows a call for the session, which was intended to address “Plan for the Network of Lines and Subvention of Public Transport for Passengers in the Territory of the Obilic Municipality.”
According to the LDK, the call for the extraordinary session was inconsistent with current legal and statutory provisions. The group’s statement, released today, indicated that the session, called by the Speaker of the Municipal Assembly, represents a violation of established procedures.
“The Group of Assembly Members of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), branch in Obilic, informs the public that it will not participate in the extraordinary session called today,” the statement read. The LDK emphasized that their position is rooted in the legislation governing municipal operations. Representatives of the LDK Obilic group maintain that the circumstances surrounding the called session raise significant legal concerns.
Further details regarding the specific legal arguments are expected to be released by the party.
