Hoti: We will return to Parliament tomorrow in the final two days, new president or elections.

Hoti Stays in Prizren as Parliament Faces Critical Decisions

Prizren, Kosovo – Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) deputy Avdullah Hoti remained in Prizren on Sunday, issuing a statement ahead of what are expected to be pivotal sessions within Parliament. The remarks come as the country faces a critical juncture in the selection of its new president. Hoti stated, “A pleasant Sunday in Prizren.

☀️ Tomorrow we return to Parliament in the final two days to either elect the new President of the country or return the mandate to the citizens.” He underscored the significance of the upcoming parliamentary debate, highlighting the importance of resolving the presidential election within the legislative body. Hoti also indicated a potential alternative, stating that a return of the mandate to the citizens remains an option should a resolution not be achieved during the parliamentary process. LDK deputy Besian Mustafa further addressed the political situation, posing a direct question regarding the support for President Bajram Kurt.

“Where did those 66 votes go? Do you have them or not?” Mustafa’s comments alluded to previous offers made within the political landscape. The next two days are anticipated to be crucial in determining the path forward, with the possibility of a constitutional referendum to return the mandate to the people still under consideration.

The outcome will significantly shape the political future of Kosovo, as Hoti and other parliamentarians prepare to engage in final deliberations.
