Tetovo Clinical Hospital to Undergo Extensive Transformation with €74 Million Project
Health Minister Azir Aliu presented a strategic project outlining the complete transformation of the Clinical Hospital in Tetovo, with a total investment of 4.56 billion denars (approximately €74 million). The initiative aims to significantly improve healthcare services within the region. The project will be executed utilizing a combined financing model, incorporating funds from the state budget alongside support from international financial institutions.
Minister Aliu emphasized the commitment to long-term sustainability as a core element of the plan. According to Aliu, the transformation will encompass the comprehensive renovation and modernization of the hospital’s existing facilities. This includes the installation of state-of-the-art medical technology and equipment.
Furthermore, the project will address logistical challenges through the creation of functional corridors, designed to optimize patient and staff movement. To accommodate increased capacity and evolving needs, two new, modern buildings will be constructed. Finally, the hospital’s services will be reorganized into a streamlined, integrated system.
The project represents a substantial investment in the future of healthcare in Tetovo.
