Two Arrested in Computer Fraud Investigation, Significant Assets Seized
Pristina, Kosovo – Authorities in Pristina have announced the arrest of two individuals in connection with suspected computer fraud. The Basic Prosecution, in collaboration with the Directorate for Cybercrime Investigation, executed a series of raids on Saturday as part of an ongoing investigation into the criminal offense of ‘Computer Fraud’. The operation targeted five locations across Kosovo, including two sites in the village of Samadrajhe, within the Suhareka Municipality, and three locations in the capital city of Pristina.
During the searches, law enforcement seized a substantial amount of assets totaling 48,350 euros in cash and ten vehicles valued at approximately one million euros. Additionally, electronic equipment was collected and is anticipated to be used as evidence within the criminal proceedings. The investigation is ongoing, and the seized items are being held as part of the legal process.
The prosecution stated that the recovered materials are expected to play a crucial role in determining the extent of the alleged computer fraud. Further details will be released as the investigation progresses.
