Man with over 800 grams of cocaine arrested in Fresk, found hidden in a baby’s stroller

The Tirana Police have conducted a drug bust, seizing 811 grams of cocaine and arresting an individual involved in its supply and distribution. The operation was executed by Police Commissionerate No. 4, working in collaboration with the Narcotics Investigation Section.

This action constitutes the second phase of a larger police operation designated “Zones,” which is designed to combat drug-related criminal activities and prevent the circulation of narcotics within the capital city. As a result of the ongoing investigative and operational efforts, Ferdinand Balla, aged 51, was apprehended at the scene. According to police reports, intelligence gathered from monitoring operational routes led police services to locate and stop the man at a location in the Fresk area.

During the subsequent inspection of a bag he was carrying, authorities made the seizure. The recovered substance was identified as a significant quantity of cocaine. The successful operation underscores the police’s continued commitment to enforcing drug laws and maintaining public safety.

Authorities stated that the seizure of 811 grams of cocaine represents a major success in disrupting local drug supply chains. The arrest of Balla is part of a concerted effort by the police to curb illicit drug trade within Tirana.
