The Basic Prosecution in Peja, collaborating with the Narcotics Unit of the Kosovo Police, executed an operation that resulted in the seizure of various suspected narcotic substances. Authorities indicated that the confiscated materials were believed to have been imported from foreign states through postal services. According to an official statement, the seizure included a substantial cache of illicit drugs.
Specifically, investigators confiscated 60 pieces of LSD, 10 pieces of Acetyl, 2 grams of Crystal Meth, and 25 pieces of ecstasy. In connection with this investigation, one individual was apprehended. The suspect was detained under suspicion of the criminal act involving the unauthorized purchase, possession, distribution, and sale of narcotics, psychotropic substances, and analogues.
By order of the State Prosecutor, the suspect was held for a period of 48 hours. The Basic Prosecution in Peja confirmed that while the suspect remains detained pending further proceedings, comprehensive investigative actions are scheduled to proceed within established legal timeframes. The operation underscores ongoing efforts by local law enforcement to interdict the trafficking of controlled substances entering the region via mail channels.
The seizure of these various pieces of drugs highlights the scope of the narcotics activity targeted by the authorities.
