The Central Election Commission (CEC) convened its initial conference concerning the voting procedures at the diplomatic missions of the Republic of Kosovo for the early parliamentary elections on April 7. During a press conference, KQZ Spokesperson Valmir Elezi provided an update on the progress of the voting process. As of 9:00 AM, Elezi reported that voting had commenced and was ongoing at 25 of the 30 designated diplomatic missions.
He stated that 11.24% of the 27,724 registered voters had cast their ballots, totaling 3,117 votes. Elezi detailed the timeline for the voting operations. He noted that the process began at 6:00 AM, Kosovo time, at the Embassy and Consulate of the Republic of Kosovo located in Ankara and Istanbul.
Further voting activities commenced at 7:00 AM, also according to Kosovo local time. The conference served to update the public and international observers on the logistical execution of the election. The CEC confirmed that the voting procedures were proceeding according to the established schedule across the various diplomatic missions, ensuring accessibility for Kosovo citizens abroad.
