A fatal traffic accident took place on “Faik Konica” street in Prizren, involving a vehicle that collided with a cyclist. The incident was confirmed to the media by Shaqir Bytyqi, the Kosovo Police spokesperson for the Prizren region. According to Bytyqi, the collision resulted in serious bodily injuries to the 78 year old cyclist.
Police units and emergency medical teams were promptly dispatched to the scene to administer initial first aid. Following the initial response, the injured individual was transported to the Central University Hospital (QKUK) in Pristina for further medical treatment. Despite immediate intervention, the 78-year-old sustained injuries that proved fatal hours later.
The spokesperson confirmed the details of the incident, stating that the cyclist, a male aged 78, sustained severe injuries from the accident. Emergency personnel provided aid at the scene in Prizren before the victim was transferred to the hospital. Tragically, despite the efforts of medical professionals, the 78-year-old succumbed to his injuries.
