The acting Minister of Economy, Artane Rizvanolli, announced a significant infrastructure investment aimed at enhancing the drinking water supply within Podujevë and expanding the municipal network to several surrounding villages. The joint effort involves the Ministry of Economy and the “Prishtina” Regional Development Agency (KRU), with a total committed investment exceeding 2.2 million euros. In detailing the funding structure, Rizvanolli specified that the Ministry of Economy has allocated 1.22 million euros toward the project.
Complementing this contribution, the “Prishtina” Regional Development Agency is contributing over 1 million euros. The funding is earmarked to ensure a more consistent and reliable water supply for the community. According to the announcement made by Rizvanolli, the improvements are expected to benefit an estimated 27,500 residents residing in portions of Podujevë, in addition to residents from the village of Llapa.
This substantial allocation of funds, totaling over 2.2 million euros, signals a major commitment to improving public utilities and supporting regional development in the area. The collaborative nature of the funding, drawing resources from both the national Ministry of Economy and the regional KRU, underscores a coordinated effort to address critical infrastructure needs for the residents. The initiative aims to secure essential resources by bolstering the water distribution network across multiple settlements.
