Golden Eagle Ylli has appointed Israeli coach Rami Hadar to lead the club’s basketball operations. The team from Suhareka has signed a two-year agreement with Hadar, who will guide the squad in the upcoming seasons. This marks a return for Hadar to the Kosovar basketball scene, following his prior association with Peja.
Ylli supporters anticipate that Hadar’s extensive experience will be instrumental in guiding the club back to contending for major trophies. Hadar, 59, joins Suharekë after most recently concluding his tenure with the Israeli team Hapoel Be’er Sheva. Throughout his professional coaching career, he has managed several prominent Israeli clubs, including Maccabi Tel Aviv, Maccabi Haifa, and Hapoel Afula.
His background also includes significant involvement in Kosovar basketball. Previously, he served as the selector for the national team. The appointment signals a strategic move for Golden Eagle Ylli, leveraging established expertise within the region’s basketball landscape.
The club’s decision to retain a coach with deep roots in both Israeli and Kosovar basketball suggests an aim to elevate the team’s competitive standing. Hadar’s experience is expected to provide a structured approach to developing the squad and aiming for increased success within the competitive Kosovar basketball circuit.
