The Central Election Commission continues counting votes from the diaspora, and the evaluation of postal ballots is expected to conclude.

The Central Election Commission (CEC) has confirmed that the process of tallying mail-in ballots and assessing suspected ballot packages originating from the diaspora remains active following the early elections for the Kosovo Assembly held on April 7, 2026. Officials stated that the vote counting is currently being conducted at the designated Counting and Results Center. As of 4:00 PM on Sunday, the CEC reported that 57 ballot boxes, which contained envelopes verified by the voter service, have been processed.

The electoral body noted that a total of 156 ballot boxes have been registered on the official results platform thus far. The comprehensive evaluation of all packages received from overseas voters is expected to continue until every submitted package has been accounted for. Mail voting procedures commenced on April 21.

The CEC emphasized that this ongoing effort is crucial for finalizing the results of the recent election. The central authority overseeing the process is systematically working through the accumulated ballots to ensure a complete and verifiable count. Stakeholders are advised that the tallying operations will continue until the full assessment of all diaspora votes is finalized, providing a comprehensive picture of the electoral outcome.
