Over 4,000 births have taken place at the Gynecology Clinic over approximately six months.

The Gynecology and Obstetrics Clinic at the Kosovo University Clinical Center (QKUK) maintains a critical role within the national healthcare infrastructure, providing specialized and comprehensive medical services for women’s health and newborn care. Recent operational data highlights the high volume of services provided by the department. According to records spanning from January through June 15, 2026, the clinic documented a total of 4,423 births.

Of these deliveries, 3,090 were recorded as spontaneous births, while 1,333 required Cesarean section procedures. These figures underscore the high utilization and operational capacity of the facility’s maternity services. Beyond routine deliveries, the medical teams at the gynecology department demonstrated significant proficiency in neonatal care.

During the reporting period, the clinic successfully treated 318 premature infants. These neonates received intensive care and specialized medical attention before being discharged to their families in good health. The consistent output of data regarding both maternity services and specialized neonatal care affirms the clinic’s status as a key pillar of obstetric care in the region.

The services provided by the QKUK gynecology department reflect a commitment to maintaining high standards of care for both mothers and newborns.
