The Kosovo Police have reported that investigators from the Directorate for Drug Trafficking Investigation – Pristina Unit conducted an operation under the ‘Summer 2026’ Operational Plan, resulting in the interception of an individual suspected of involvement in narcotics trafficking. According to the police statement, the suspect was apprehended in the city of Podujevë at a specific premises. Authorities recovered and confiscated six packages containing suspected marijuana, alongside other related evidence.

The individual, identified as F.S., a Kosovar male born in 19__, was subsequently interviewed by officers. Following the investigation, a formal case was initiated against the suspect. The charges relate to the unauthorized purchase, possession, distribution, and sale of narcotics, psychotropic, and analogous substances.

After the prosecutor issued the necessary order, the suspect was taken into official custody. The operation underscores the ongoing efforts by the Kosovo Police to combat illicit drug trade within the region. The seizure of the packages and the subsequent legal proceedings indicate that the authorities are actively pursuing charges related to drug trafficking networks.
