CEC decides to renew 185 regular constituencies

The Central Election Commission (CEC) has announced its decision to recount ballots from 185 regular polling stations. This decision was made during a meeting conducted electronically. The CEC stated that the ballots slated for recount represent 7.41% of the total 2,498 regular ballots cast during the election held on April 7, 2026.

The recount will cover specific polling stations across various municipalities. The breakdown of the number of ballots to be recounted, organized by municipality, is as follows: Deçan will have 4 ballots (8.33%); Gjakovë will account for 10 ballots (6.94%); Gllogoc/Drenas will involve 5 ballots (6.85%); Gjilan will include 9 ballots (7.09%); Dragash will have 4 ballots (7.02%); Istog will have 4 ballots (6.67%); Kaçanik will involve 3 ballots (6.82%); Klinë will account for 5 ballots (8.06%); Fushë Kosovë will include 5 ballots (8.06%); Kamenicë will have 3 ballots (6.52%); Mitrovicë e Jugut will involve 7 ballots (7%); Leposaviq will account for 2 ballots (8%); Obiliq will have 3 ballots (8.82%); Rahovec will include 5 ballots (6.67%); Pejë will involve 9 ballots (6.67%); Podujevë will have 7 ballots (6.80%); and Pristina will be included. These actions follow the initial counting of the regular ballots at the Municipal Counting Centers.

The CEC’s decision signals a procedural review of a segment of the election results.
