Three drivers were stopped in Gostivar for driving without a valid vehicle license.

On June 21, 2026, at approximately 6:30 PM, police officers from the Department of Police for Road Traffic Safety in Gostivar conducted an operation in the village of Banjicë e Poshtme, Gostivar. During this enforcement action, authorities detained three individuals for operating vehicles while lacking the required driver’s licenses and proper documentation. According to reports from SPB Tetovë, the individuals detained were identified as E.I., aged 26, a resident of Gostivari, who was observed driving a moped bearing Skopje license plates.

Additionally, the police detained R.S., aged 25, from Tetova, and Xh.U., aged 25, also from Gostivari. Both R.S. and Xh.U.

were found operating motorcycles that were reportedly unregistered or lacking proper plates. The police department confirmed that the three individuals were taken into custody, and the vehicles involved in the violations were seized as evidence. Authorities stated that appropriate legal charges will be filed against the suspects in accordance with Article 297-a of the Penal Code.

The operation underscores ongoing efforts by local law enforcement to ensure compliance with road safety regulations and to deter illegal driving practices within the region.
