A serious traffic accident took place late last night, around 2:00 AM, on “Tirana” street within the city of Gjakova. The incident involved a collision between a car and a motorcycle. Authorities confirmed that the motorcycle operator sustained severe bodily injuries at the scene, resulting in the fatality.
According to statements provided by Vlera Krasniqi, the Police spokesperson for the Gjakova region, the details of the accident have been established. Following the incident, the victim’s body was transported for a mandatory medico-legal examination, a process conducted in coordination with the State Prosecutor’s office. In relation to the vehicle involved, the driver has been placed under a 48-hour police detention period.
